About

Sion Jo is a photographer specializing in documentary series photography. He has long enjoyed wandering the streets and capturing street photography. After completing his military service, he worked as a photojournalist at a media subsidiary of a Korean news agency. During his time there, he developed a keen interest in photographing social issues and current affairs. Even after leaving his internship, he has continued to work on documentary series consistently. He firmly believes that photography is an irreplaceable medium for conveying information to people and holds that it still possesses a powerful impact today.

He also takes personal photographs, including street, still life, and landscape photography. He enjoys exploring vibrant lighting and maintains his own photography style, characterized by strong contrasts and an emphasis on details.
